Rottnest Island holds a very special place in my heart. I first visited this beautiful island in 2015, when I began my travel journey around Australia. Many of my paintings feature Western Australian landscapes because they hold so many unforgettable memories for me. From cycling along the island’s scenic paths to discovering its beautiful beaches, turquoise bays, and peaceful natural wonders, Rottnest Island is a place I’ll always treasure. 🌊🌿

Did you know that Rottnest Island’s name came from Dutch explorers who mistook quokkas for rats? Today, the island is famous for these friendly-looking little animals, its car-free atmosphere, and its stunning coastal scenery. With 63 beaches, 20 bays, and even a pink lake, there’s always something magical to discover!
